Here be another "30 minute sprint" painting...It's not bad for 30 minutes, but I missed the values again, and the colors were just a touch too saturated...oh, well.

30 minute painting exercises



My good friend, Sebastien has been teaching me how to paint, and just started this fun exercise--quick paintings in 30 minutes using no color sampling and only one layer. Obviously, I have a long way to go, but this exercise really does help me strive for more decisive and controlled strokes. Not to mention, I am rapidly learning to have an eye for color...

A character I created for a film assignment. I made the over-zealous and witless decision to create an animation for my final project in a film intro course. I paid for it in time, tears, and headaches.

The Beginning

I haven't blogged before, just as I'm sure many thousands of people out there have not. But now I choose to join the other group of thousands who have. While I claim to be no professional or even amateur, I may reach a higher status of proficiency given a little practice and a lot of blank stares at an empty white computer screen...
